Information for Police Pension Scheme Members
Service Impact
We would like to reassure you that we are continuing to operate as normal a service as possible, which includes payment of all pensions to our UK and overseas pensioners. As the situation escalates, rest assured that the Pensions Team at West Midlands Police will do everything possible to reduce the service impact for our Members. We are taking all appropriate measures, which include a significant increase in home working for our Employees, to ensure their safety and that of their families.
During this extraordinary situation, with many of our staff working remotely, there may be issues with technology and capacity. This means that our ability to answer telephone enquiries may be severely impacted so for resiliance we have set up a voicemail message facility which is monitored on a regular basis. Unfortunately all face-to-face member services will need to cease for the foreseeble future.
As a result of the need to work from home, the Pensions Team also has limited access to post and printing facilities. In view of this, if you need an update on when you can expect to hear from us, please contact us by email, providing relevant personal identification information and a brief summary of your enquiry. We will then respond to you as soon as we can.
All email enquiries should be sent to:
ss_customerservices@west-midlands.pnn.police.uk
If you do contact us by email, it is possible we may need to communicate with you again over the coming months; because of this we will ask you for your consent to hold your email address on your pension record. You can however withdraw your consent for this at any time.
